Whitewater Chopped Sticks is the fast paced arrangement of the popular classic by Calvin Jones. Audiences worldwide were stunned when Teresa Scanlan, then Miss Nebraska, won the Miss America 2011 Pageant with her blazing performance of Calvin's tune. After many requests the long awaited pageant version of Whitewater Chopped Sticks has been made available! This 90 second special pageant edit is the version Calvin gave to Teresa in November of 2011 and encouraged her to go home and practice. Responding to pianists who didn't think Whitewater Chopped Sticks had enough notes or was fast enough (just kiddding, we've actually never had that comment in 25 years!) Calvin has added some more left hand octaves in the front end of the song to get it moving as soon as you launch into the presto section. As well in order to get through this many notes in 90 seconds it needed to speed up a bit as well. Thus Presto turned into Prestissimo. And if that isn't enough, Calvin extended the end with a two fisted glissando covering the entire length of the keyboard just so that he is assured that every key on the piano is hit at least once! So grab this edited version, fasten your seat belt and turn on the afterburners.
